Gwen Luscombe is an award-winning storyteller, journalist and emerging author and owner of The Ideas Library, a boutique service for creative and copywriting. A 2021 Write It Fellowship recipient with Penguin Random House Australia and a Publisher’s Australia Bell Award winner, she covers travel, food and lifestyle with a nose for good stories.

Raised in rural Pennsylvania, Gwen swapped snow for the Australian surf in 2001 and now calls Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula home, which she shares with her wife, son and an ever-growing stack of books.

Her byline has taken her everywhere from Machu Picchu to the Dead Sea, with detours for whale-shark swims and lost-luggage epics; fuelled, naturally, by strong coffee and curiosity.

When she’s not hunting down a great story (or a great coffee), Gwen champions memorable experiences and clever, human-centred storytelling that makes readers want to pack a bag or at least make a reservation.
